2015 CCC Women's Volleyball Coaches Association Rankings
As is the history of the State Top 25 Rankings, this rankings reflects the coaches playoff seedings as well as the overall season.
Tie-breakers take its toll on a few teams as South No. 1 seed Santa Barbara City shares the No. 1 ranking in the state with Pierce and North No. 1 Cabrillo shares No. 3 rank with Foothill. El Camino moves up to No. 5, Canyons drops to No. 6, Grossmont stays at 7, Feather River moves up to 8, San Joaquin Delta re-enters the Top 10 at 9 and Sierra remains at 10.
There will be a final ranking at the conclusion of the State Playoffs.
State Top 25: Top 12 stays in order as Pierce holds its No. 1 spot. Then its scramble city for many teams jockeying for the final 13 spots in the rankings. Irvine Valley gets biggest jump back to No. 13.

#1 Pierce holds off #2 Santa Barbara CC in exciting 4-set match as the State Top 7 remains the same with #3 Foothill, #4 Cabrillo, #5 Canyons, #6 El Camino and #7 Grossmont.
Some changes that mixed up the top 10 were additions of SJ Delta at #8 and Feather River at #10 Fresno CC still in there at #9.
Newsworthy #1: Feather River head coach Sarah Ritchie recorded her 200th win of her career on Oct. 28 over Butte.
Newsworthy #2: Fresno City head coach Tracy Ainger-Schulte is one win away from her 200th career victory. Fresno broke its own school record with its 58th consecutive win in Central Valley Conference play (school had a 57-match streak previously). Fresno has won 66 straight in conference at home.
Newsworthy #3: El Camino has a 30-match win streak in the South Coast Conference while Grossmont holds a 29-match win streak in Pacific Coast Athletic Conference play.

With Santa Barbara City College's upset over Pierce, the state will not have an undefeated champion for the first time since 2010. The top 4 teams are hard to separate but Pierce hangs on to the top spot with SBCC moving to No. 2, Foothill at No. 3 and holding barely over No. 4 Cabrillo for bragging rights in the North. No changes from No. 5 to 10 with Canyons, El Camino, Grossmont, Cypress, Fresno City and American River in order.

Foothill hangs on to #2, Cabrillo #3, Santa Barbara uses 4-set win over Canyons to go to #4, while Canyons at #5. El Camino is #6, Grossmont now #7, Cypress #8, Fresno #9, and American River at #10.

It was a wild week in women's volleyball, but Pierce continues to stay undefeated by winning 3 matches to capture its annual Brahma Invitational tournament title. Pierce (14-0) leads the state rankings, followed by NorCal's last undefeated team, Foothill (12-0) at No. 2. Canyons is at #3, El Camino moves up to #4, Cabrillo jumps to #5, Santa Barbara CC at #6, Cypress #7, Grossmont enters the top 10 at #8, Fresno CC drops to #9, and American River remains at #10.

Pierce and Foothill remain undefeated as Pierce tops State Rankings #2 with Foothill No. 2 and tops in the North. (only other undefeated team has just 2 matches, unranked Sequoias). Pierce College tops the first state Top 25 of the year with a 9-0 overall record. Foothill is No. 2 and the North's top team after winning the SJ Delta Classic. College of the Canyons (7-1) is No. 3, Santa Barbara CC (7-1) at No. 4, Cypress (6-3) at No. 5 and El Camino (9-2) at No. 6. The top 4 teams from last year are all over the map with Grossmont at No. 8, Cabrillo at No. 9, Feather River at No. 11, and defending state champion Irvine Valley at No. 14
Top Upset--No. 13 MiraCosta's sweep over Irvine Valley ending the Lasers' 28-match winning streak on Sept. 4
