Cerritos College, winners of the last four California Community College Athletic Association Women's Soccer Championships, started off the Semi-Finals with a bang. In the fifth minute of action, Carolina Jarmillo was fouled in the box, and Cerritos was awarded a Penalty Kick. Jaramillo then found the back of the net giving Cerritos a 1-0 lead. Ten minutes later Jaramillo added her second goal of the game off of a pass by Jill Messersmith which the Falcons a 2-0 lead into the half.
With Folsom Lake having a hard time getting into the Cerritos side of the field, Folsom Lake finally broke through in the 74th minute on a goal by Allie Miller off a Breanna Brumet assist. Cerritos got the lead back up to two goals in the 80th minute with a goal by Natalie de Leon with Jackie Garcia assisting. With the game getting into extra time Folsom Lake was able to add a goal from Karina Torres in stoppage time, but it was too little too late for Folsom Lake.
