Cougars Surge Late to Topple Falcons

After early struggles, the Cougars turned up the intensity in the second half and pulled away from the Falcons with a dominant 22–12 fourth-quarter surge. The late flurry sealed a hard-fought victory as the Cougars finished strong on both ends of the floor. Rian Dillihunt led the scoring attack with 15 points, while Kelis Jones added 12 points to provide a steady offensive presence. Emaya Trahan delivered a standout performance on the glass, hauling in 16 rebounds — an impressive 11 offensive and 5 defensive — to go along with 7 points, giving the Cougars crucial second-chance opportunities. On the defensive end, Destiny Hurt-Floyd set the tone, recording five momentum-swinging steals and forcing multiple turnovers that fueled the Cougars’ late run.
