The four undefeateds remain atop the week four poll
LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The four undefeated teams remain at the top of the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches’ Association Coaches’ Poll in Week Four of the season.
No. 1 San Mateo continues to impress, now 13-0 on the season the Bulldogs most recently earned run-rule wins over Redwoods and No. 16 Folsom Lake. American River gave San Mateo a scare with the Bulldogs winning only 2-0 over the Beavers on Friday, Feb. 13.
No. 3 West Valley showed why they’re still a premiere team in the north. The Vikings swept No. 6 Cosumnes River in back-to-back 3-2 wins. No. 2 Palomar outscored opponents 43-3 in week three, while No. 4 El Camino handed No. 7 Cypress its first loss on Saturday.
No. 19 Fresno City returns after being ranked in the preseason poll. The Rams have won six of their last seven, including a sweep of No. 13 Sierra. No. 20 Southwestern is off to an 8-3 start and sits at fifth in the south’s RPI rankings. The Jaguars have a tough test with Palomar next Tuesday, Feb. 24.
