Softball Wins 2nd of Doubleheader Against MSJC
**Victor Valley College Rams Softball Team Roars Back with a Commanding Win Against Mt. San Jacinto**
Victorville, CA – The Victor Valley College Rams showcased their resilience and determination in a stunning comeback victory against Mt. San Jacinto, rebounding from a tough loss in the first game of their doubleheader on March 26, 2025. The Rams dominated their opponents with a decisive 12-3 win, demonstrating their offensive prowess and solid teamwork.
After a challenging start in the first game of the doubleheader, the Rams regrouped and came out swinging in the second game, fueled by standout performances from key players. The game opened with Mt. San Jacinto taking an early lead, but the Rams quickly turned the tide in the bottom of the first inning, scoring six runs to establish a commanding presence.
**Offensive Powerhouse:**
The Rams' offense was unstoppable, amassing 14 hits and 12 RBIs. Catcher R. Godwin set the tone early, scoring twice and hitting a crucial double that ignited the Rams' scoring spree. Center fielder H. Stanislaw and second baseman M. Cuellar were instrumental in driving the offense, each contributing two hits and scoring twice. Stanislaw's RBI double in the first inning tied the game, while Cuellar's single in the fourth inning extended the Rams' lead.
Shortstop H. Merrill delivered a standout performance, going 2-for-3 with three RBIs, including a pivotal two-RBI single in the fourth inning that widened the gap between the two teams. Third baseman C. Bledsoe also shined, contributing two hits, two RBIs, and scoring twice, including a crucial RBI double in the fourth inning.
First baseman A. Gonzalez added the exclamation point with a powerful two-run homer in the fourth inning, sealing the victory for the Rams. Left fielder A. Arauz played a key role as well, executing a sacrifice fly in the first inning and stealing a base, showcasing the team's strategic depth.
