Cerritos teammates Webster and Lilian Ebanks (5,031) rank 2-3 in the USA and were 1-2 in the SoCal championships.
Fifth-ranked Moesha Davidson, Fresno, won the NorCal title with 4,774 points, but will concentrate on individual events at the state championship. Her second place teammate, Melody Harris (4,555) is the top NorCal entrant.
Julia Grimm of Santa Rosa was fourth in 2015 with 4,214 points and is the top returnee.

Talalemoto won the SoCal title ahead of Palomar's De'ondra Young, who ranks third in the state at 173-7. NorCal champion Emma Seyer of De Anza, No. 2 in the state and fourth nationally at 176-0, is the top returnee (tenth in 2015 at 124-4).

2015 champion: Daniel Roberts, Modesto, 188-6 (also won the shot put and discus throw).
USCC Ldr: 209-3, Daniel Roberts, Modesto.
Roberts, a triple event champion in 2015, improved his own national season leading mark at the NorCal championships. His Pirates teammate Erick Loomis is No. 2 in the state (No. 3 nationally) at 195-9. SoCal champ Christopher Brown, Riverside, has best of 180-5.

Four of the top 5 CC throwers in the USA will contest this event. NorCal champ Harris, state runner-up in 2015, ranks No. 2 nationally, just ahead of Daisy Newman (144-5) of Siskiyous, SoCal champion Nicole Clark (143-0) of El Camino, and heptathlete Julia Grimm (137-7) of Santa Rosa – who was third in this event last year.

NorCal champion Alvin Sung of San Mateo has the top mark among state qualifiers at 194-0. Chris Ross of state host Mesa won the SoCal title at 188-1, while SoCal leader John Soriano (193-10) of Riverside also qualified for the state finals.

NorCal champion Dodge, second in 2015, is top returnee. SoCal champ Brianna Jacklin, Riverside, was third in 2015.

NorCal champ Hamid, third in 2015, is top returnee. Jorge Sanchez of Hartnell, NorCal runnerup, is only other finalist under 32 minutes this year at 31:55.64. Vahagn Isayan of Glendale is SoCal champ (32:16.94) and has run 32:02.75.

2015 champion: Moesha Davidson, Fresno, 18-6 1/2.
USCC Ldr: 21-4 3/4, Deshaunda Morrison, Sequoias
Defending state champion Moesha Davidson of Fresno ranks No. 2 nationally at 20-7 1/4 and is a slight state favorite over Morrison in what appears to be a two woman battle. No other entrants have approached 19 feet.
1 p.m., Men's Long Jump
2015 champion: Dwayne Lee, San Joaquin Delta, 23-10 3/4w.
USCC Ldr: 26 3 3/4, Fabian Edoki, South Plains, Texas
CCCAA Ldr: 25-6 1/4, Joseph Bryant, Mt. San Antonio
Bryant is the state leader (No 3 nationally) but finished fourth in the SoCal finals, won by Fullerton's Justin Walker (24-3 1/2), who has a best of 24-7 3/4. Bryce Huggins of Sequoias is No. 2 in the state rankings at 24-10, followed by Walker. Austin Collier of American River won a tight NorCal title battle at 23-11 ½.
1 p.m., Men's Shot Put
2015 champion: Daniel Roberts, Modesto, 56-11 1/2.
USCC Ldr: 61-1 1/4, Jared Kern, Lincoln College, Ill.
CCCAA Ldr: 58-2 1/2, Ryan Donnahoe, Yuba.
Defending champion Roberts just missed qualifying for the state finals, placing seventh in the NorCal championships won by Donnahoe (52-10 3/4). SoCal champion James Jones of Riverside (54-6) ranks No. 2 in the state with his best of 55-1. Donnahoe and Jones are No. 4 and 5 nationally.

2015 champion: Breanna Curry, Cerritos, 5-5 1/4.
USCC Ldr: 5-10 3/4, Vavara Klyuchnikova, Vincennes, Ind.
CCCAA Ldr: 5-6 1/2, Juanita Webster, Cerritos.
Top returnees: Moesha Davidson, Fresno, third; Julia Grimm, Santa Rosa, fourth (both at 5-3 1/4).
With state leader Webster concentrating on the heptathlon, top entrant is Bria Palmer of Cerritos, who won the SoCal tital at 5-5 1/4 and has the best season mark among entrants at 5-5 3/4. Grimm is the NorCal champion and ranks No. 3 in the state this season at 5-5 1/4, along with Kaitlyn Matthews of Canyons.

2015 champion: Lovina Akauloa, Sacramento, 138-8.
USCC Ldr: 166-4, Rochelle Frazer, New Mexico JC.
CCCAA Ldr: 163-3, Destiny Mack-Talalemotu, Cerritos
SoCal champion Mack-Talalemotu is No. 3 nationally and should duel with NorCal champ Anya Tonga of De Anza, who is No. 2 in California 148-9. Modesto's Breanna Lowther (141-0) is the other thrower in the finals who has exceeded 140 feet.
2 p.m., Women's Triple Jump
2015 champion: Chantel Dunson, Long Beach, 38-0 1/4.
USCC Ldr: 42-9 3/4, Lattavia Coombs, New Mexico JC.
CCCAA Ldr: 40-7 3/4, Destinee Widgins, Riverside.
SoCal champ Widgins ranks No. 3 nationally and is the only finalist over 40 feet. Reagan Andrews (39-9 1/4) of West Los Angeles, El Camino's Zaynab Bent-Mikail (39-3 3/4) who was seventh last year, and NorCal champ Moesha Davidson (38-8 1/4) are contenders.

2015 champion: Augusta Thomason, Cuesta, 12-4.
USCC Ldr: 12-6, Augusta Thomason, Cuesta.
SoCal champ Thomason is favored to repeat as state titlist, with Erica Davis (11-8 1/2) of Cerritos the top contender.
3 p.m., Men's Triple Jump
2015 champion: Tacuma Anderson-Richards, Sequoias, 52-2.
USCC Ldr: 51-11 1/4, Jah-Nhai Perinchief, Iowa Central.
CCCAA Ldr: 51-5, Anthony Applequist, Mt. San Antonio.
Riverside's James Wilson won the SoCal title at 49-3 3/4, with state leader Applequist placing fourth (47-8 1/2) but still advancing easily to state. Tristan Meye of De Anza won the NorCal title at 48-0 3/4. SoCal runner-up Jahvad McDermott of Riverside is also a contender at 48-10 3/4, along with Zain Palacio of West Los Angeles (48-10 1/4), who was sixth in 2015.

Mack-Talalemotu, No. 4 nationally, is looking for a shot-discus-hammer triple. NorCal champ Brandy Williams of Diablo Valley is No. 2 in the state at 45-11 1/4, followed by Yuba's Imani Bierly (45-9), top 2015 returnee (third place)

2015 champion: Reed Scale, Mt. San Antonio, 16-4.
USCC Ldr: 17-0 3/4, Giovanni Hernandez, Mt. San Antonio.
National leader Hernandez was third in 2015. Contenders include NorCal champ Michael Fancey of Delta, No. 3 nationally at 16-3 1/2, and Cuesta's Joe Reeves, No. 4 at 16-2. Others include last year's co-fourth place finishers Jeremy Kimmer of Glendale and Joe Dreyer of Cuesta – both with 15-9 3/4 bests.

NorCal champion Perez-Lopez, No. 3 nationally, expects to duel again with north rivals Dana Pollard (11:42.41) of Modesto and Hartnell's Nancy Rodriguez (11:42.70) -- along with SoCal champion Jessica Ruiz (11:55.54).
2:15 p.m., Men's 3,000 Meter Steeplechase
2015 champion: Ethan Walker, Canyons, 9:16.32.
USCC Ldrs: 9:12.36, Kelvin Keter, South Plains, Texas.
CCCAA Ldr: 9:15.07, Ethan Walker, Canyons
Although 2015 champion Walker ranks No. 2 in the USA this season, he is not in the state field. His Canyons teammate Jason Hilquist is No. 2 in the state at 9:28.01 (No. 5 nationally) and won the SoCal title by .02 over Michael Simpson of Riverside (9:28.03). Joseph Esparza of Redwoods won the NorCal title in 9:44.29 in a tight battle with American River's Donald Plazola (9:44.41).
2:30 p.m., Women's 4 x 100 Meter Relay
2015 champion: Mt. San Antonio, 47.08.
USCC Ldr: 45.13, New Mexico JC.
CCCAA Ldr: 45.75, Sequoias.
This could be a 3-way race among Sequoias (No. 4 nationally), SoCal champ and No. 10 Cerritos (46.24), plus No. 11 Mt. SAC (46.67), the defending champion.
2:40 p.m., Men's 4 x 100 Meter Relay
2015 champion: Mt. San Antonio, 40.00
USCC Ldr: 39.49, Sequoias.
Although College of the Sequoias is the national leader, the Giants had trouble in the NorCal finals due to an injured runner and finished third -- as Modesto won in 40.72. SoCal champ Mt. SAC, defending state champions, has run 39.81 (No. 4 in nation) and is the only other California team under 40 seconds this season.
2:45 p.m., Women's 1,500 Meters
2015 champion: Aminat Olowora, Southwestern, 4:33.09
USCC Ldr: 4:25.11, Susan Ejore, Monroe College, N.Y.
CCCAA Ldr: 4:35.47, Malena Grover, Hartnell.
This could be another battle involving NorCal champ Grover, who is No. 3 nationally, Erica Ruiz of Santa Rosa (No. 4 at 4:36.25), and Micayla Rennick of American River (No. 6 at 4:37.47). SoCal champ Miranda Daschian (4:42.03 best) from Cuesta should also content
2:55 p.m., Men's 1,500 Meters
2015 champion: Diego Leon, Hartnell, 3:53.58.
CCCAA Ldr: 3:54.41, Joshua Silva, Riverside.
Silva finished second in the SoCal finals, won in 4:04.21 by Matthew Manalo of Glendale (who has run 3:58.26). No. 2 Californian Conor Wells of American River narrowly beat Tyler Daughtery of Merritt for the NorCal title in 3:55.02 (by .09)
3:15 p.m., Women's 100 Meter Hurdles
2015 champion, Kortni Smyers-Jones, Laney, 13.61
USCC Ldr: 13.43, Danielle Riggins, Iowa Central
CCCAA Ldr: 13.52, Deshaunda Morrison, Sequoias
NorCal champion Morrison, No. 2 nationally, and No. 3 Moesha Davidson (13.84) of Fresno are the only finalists who have run under 14 seconds. Morrison was second in 2015 and Davidson third. Alisha Greenlaw of Ventura (14.66 best) is the SoCal champ, while runner-up Taylor Sims of Orange Coast has the best time among the SoCal qualifiers, 14.35.
3:30 p.m., Men's 110 Meter Hurdles
2015 champion: Mackenzi Rickman, Cerritos, 14.28.
USCC Ldr: 13.60, Ruebin Walters, Central Arizona.
CCCAA Ldr: 14.04, Cameron Akins, Mt. San Antonio.
Justin Walker of Fullerton won the SoCal title in 14.34 by a hundredth over Akins (who ranks No. 3 nationally). Dario Robinson of Cerritos was the state runner-up in 2015 but just made it into the state finals with a fifth place at the SoCals. He has run 14.22 this year. James Traylor of CCSF needed a late charge over the final two hurdles to win the NorCal title in 14.39 over Chabot's Leroy Elliott (14.51).
3:45 p.m., Women's 400 Meters
2015 champion: Deajah Stevens, Sequoias, 53.88.
USCC Ldr: 53.79, Cameka Witter, Western Texas.
CCCAA Ldr: 53.89, Melena Rodney, Sequoias.
NorCal champ Rodney, No. 2 ranked nationally, has a huge best time margin over SoCal champion Khadija Imara of Mt. San Antonio (55.11). SoCal runner-up Nylia Hudspeth of Cerritos (55.79) could also be in the hunt.
3:55 p.m., Men's 400 Meters
2015 champion: Alexander McElwee, Pasadena, 46.61.
USCC Ldr: 46.49, DeVante Lacy, South Plains, Texas
CCCAA Ldr: 46.56, Ohdel James, Sequoias.
James (No. 2 nationally) ran in the NorCal finals with a heavily taped quad but still managed to earn a state finals spot in 48.57. Isaiah Johnson of Sequoias took the NorCal title in 47.83. He has run 46.97. SoCal champ Tubotein Taylor (46.62) is No. 3 in the USA. SoCal runner-up Gabe Warner (47.05) should also be in the mix.
4:05 p.m., Women's 100 Meters
2015 champion, Moesha Davidson, Fresno, 11.48
USCC Ldr: 11.36, Moesha Davidson, Fresno.
This could be another duel between the USA's top two sprinters. National leader Davidson, the defending state champion, was edged by Strangenae Campbell of Diablo Valley in the NorCal finals by just .01 in 11.60. Campbell has run 11.42. SoCal champion Najia Hudspeth of Cerritos (11.64), No. 3 in the state and No. 8 nationally, should also be in the mix.
4:10 p.m., Men's 100 Meters
2015 champion: Drelan Bramwell, Sequoias, 10.38.
USCC Ldr: 10.04w, Cravon Gillespie, Mt. San Antonio
Gillespie, fourth at the 2015 state finals, had an impressive 10.17 performance at the Mt. SAC Relays and then ran a wind-aided (+3.1 m.p.s.) 10.04 last week to win the SoCal title over teammate Erik Cisneros (10.53). Donovan Wallace of Modesto was the double NorCal sprint champ (10.34 & 20.63) and ranks No. 2 in the state with his 10.27 best, followed by Holland Cabara of Sequoias at 10.34. Bramwell, the double 2015 champ, ran 10.41 last month but did not advance through the NorCals.
4:20 p.m., Women's 800 Meters
2015 champion: Sarah Brandt, Butte, 2:12.07.
USCC Ldr: 2:06.73, Marleena Eubanks, Central Arizona.
CCCAA Ldr: 2:12.19, Doshawn Franks, West Los Angeles.
Angela Wilson of Antelope Valley posted the state's No. 2 time this season, 2:13.16, to win the SoCal title with Franks finishing third. Cicelya Beard of San Joaquin Delta won the NorCal title in 2:17.17, edging Micayla Rennick of American River -- who has the state's No. 3 time this year, 2:14.69.
4:25 p.m., Men's 800 Meters
2015 champion: Gabe Toscano, Mt. San Antonio, 1:52.75.
USCC Ldr: 1:49.78, Mpho Makofane, Monroe College, N.Y.
CCCAA Ldr: 1:50.19, Gerardo Castro, San Francisco.
Castro, No. 2 nationally, was a wire-to-wire winner at the NorCals, beating Chabot's Conner Mckinnon (1:52.60) -- who has run 1:52.32. Eamon Smythe of Orange Coast took the SoCal title in 1:52.89, ahead of Juman Randall of West Los Angeles – who ranks No. 2 in the state with his best of 1:51.89.
4:45 p.m., Women's 400 Meter Hurdles
2015 champion: Jeyla Spencer, Southwestern, 1:01.87.
USCC Ldr: 1:00.44, Medinah Spencer, South Plains, Texas.
CCCAA Ldr: 1:01.79, Brittany Mitchell, Mt. San Antonio.
Mitchell won the SoCal title by more than two seconds with her state-leading time (which ranks No. 4 in the USA), beating Samantha Duong of Fullerton (1:03.98). Impressive NorCal champion Deshaunda Morrison of Sequoias is No. 2 in the state and No. 6 in the USA at 1:02.75. NorCal runner-up Stephanie Fernandez of Santa Rosa (l:03.64) ranks third in the state.
4:50 p.m., Men's 400 Meter Hurdles
2015 champion: Bas VanLeersum, Santa Barbara, 52.20.
USCC Ldr: 51.15, Okeen Williams, South Plains, Texas.
CCCAA Ldr: 52.11, Treshon Woods, American River.
Woods improved his best by more than two seconds to win the NorCal title ahead of Sequoias' Chris Green (52.94). Dylan Atencio of Mt. SAC took the SoCal title in 52.88 and ranks No. 2 in the state at 52.40. Southern runner-up Justin Alexander of El Camino is also a contender with a best of 52.53.
5:00 p.m., Women's 200 Meters
2015 champion: Deajah Stevens, Sequoias, 23.40.
USCC Ldr: 23.33, Kayelle Clarke, New Mexico JC.
CCCAA Ldr: 23.67, Najia Hudspeth, Cerritos.
SoCal champion Hudspeth ranks No. 3 nationally while NorCal champ Strangenae Campbell (23.69) is No. 5. Other contenders include the Sequoias duo of Joylynn Daily (24.46) and Meleni Rodney (24.16), plus 2015 state runner-up Kayla Wilson of Riverside (24.87 best this year).
5:10 p.m., Men's 200 Meters
2015 champion: Drelan Bramwell, Sequoias, 21.36.
USCC Ldr: 20.20, Cravon Gillespie, Mt. San Antonio,
Gillespie was an impressive double individual winner (plus the 4x1) at the SoCal championships, with national-leading marks. His teammate Tubotein Taylor (20.52) ranks No. 2 nationally (and won the SoCal 400). NorCal champ Donovan Wallace (20.63) of Modesto ranks No. 3 in the state and No. 7 U.S.
5:20 p.m., Women's 5,000 Meters
2015 champion: Aminat Olowora, Southwestern, 17:13.87.
USCC Ldr: 16:30.32, Leanne Pompeani, Iowa Central.
CCCAA Ldr: 17:08.12, Jenica Dodge, American River
No. 2 nationally ranked Dodge will and No. 3 Melena Grover of Hartnell (17:09.72) both have eyes on distance doubles. SoCal champion Brianna Jacklin of Riverside is No. 6 nationally with a best of 17:43.83 while runner-up Madeline Ogle of Cuesta is No. 5 at 17:31.77.
5:45 p.m., Men's 5,000 Meters
2015 champion: Diego Leon, Hartnell, 14:40.53.
USCC Ldr: 14:19.87, Gilbert Kigen, Central Arizona.
CCCAA Ldr: 14:23.90, Michael Teran, San Bernardino Valley.
SoCal champ Teran ranks No. 2 nationally and leads the field by more than 24 seconds ahead of Cuesta's Sean McDermott (14:47.96) and Mt. SAC's Kevin Herrera (14:48.37). NorCal champion Abdul Hamid of Amerian River has run 14:56.66 and is the state 10K leader. His AR teammate Donald Plazola (15:10.85) is the only other NorCal qualifier (with the state standard).
In an oddity, all (and only) the 12 runners in the state who had achieved the state "A" mark made the state finals, regardless of their placement in the regionals. (McDermott finished 15th in the SoCal meet.)
6:10 p.m., Women's 4 x 400 Meter Relay
2015 champion: Mt. San Antonio, 3:49.83
USCC Ldr: 3:38.89, South Plains, Texas
CCCAA Ldr: 3:45.71, Cerritos
Cerritos had state season best beating Mt. SAC (3:47.03) and West LA (3:47.97) for SoCal title. They rank No. 6, 8, and 9 nationally.
Sequoias (3:57.90) was the NorCal champ, ahead of Diablo Valley (3:58.39).
6:20 p.m., Men's 4 x 400 Meter Relay
2015 champion: Sequoias, 3:11.89.
USCC Ldr: 3:06.06, South Plains, Texas.
CCCAA Ldr: 3:07.53, Sequoias
NorCal champ Sequoias is also No. 2 nationally and expects to duel with No. 4 Mt. SAC (3:09.26), the SoCal champ. Other contenders in the national top 15 are No. 11 American River (3:14.63) and No. 14 Riverside (3:14.94).
