San Bernardino - The Los Angeles City College men's soccer team's valiant effort on Tuesday night was an improvement from their previous game, ending with a clean sheet draw on the road in San Bernardino Valley College. LACC goalkeeper Luis Villegas had an outstanding performance with 12 saves and the Cub's defense was a wall that the wolverines were not able to breach. Center back Mark Figueroa and midfielder Kender Ruiz, led the cubs defensive effort that frustrated San Bernardino's offense. However, LACC's offensive woes were quite evident throughout the match as they had limited shots on goal. Fifteen minutes into the second half a San Bernardino midfielder was sent off with a red card but the cubs did not capitalize on that advantage. Nonetheless it was a draw that felt like a win for this young program.
