Undefeated conference champions fill both CCCWPCA Top Ten polls
SARATOGA - The 3C2A men’s and women’s water polo regular seasons ended last week and the final CCCWPCA rankings are stacked with undefeated conference champions. Six such teams populate the women’s Top Ten, while five teams with unblemished records fill the men’s Top Ten.
The top four teams remained the same in both polls, although Orange Coast joined LA Valley in a tie for 4th on the men’s side. Long Beach City was a unanimous choice for the women’s top spot for the 7th straight week, while the West Valley men were #1, also for the seven th consecutive week . Four schools – Long Beach, Orange Coast, Saddleback and West Valley - finished the regular season with squads in both Top Ten’s.
The state’s pools will be churning with Conference tournaments this weekend, setting the stage for regional tournaments next weekend.
