San Jose City's Ribeiro, San Bernardino Valley's Daniels named CCCSIA Athlete's of the Month for February
RIVERSIDE - Softball standout Maddie Ribeiro of San Jose City College and San Bernardino Valley College guard Dominique Daniels have been named the California Community College Sports Information Association (CCCSIA) February Athletes of the month.

Freshman infielder, Maddie Ribeiro, posted impressive numbers on the diamond throughout the month of February for San Jose City College. She tallied five home runs, six doubles, and 20 RBIs after 22 hits on the month.
The San Jose native also registered a .468 batting average and a .509 on-base percentage while participating in 13 consecutive victories for the Jaguars. Ribeiro notched a .960 fielding percentage after being charged with just two errors on 50 total attempts in the dirt.

Dominique Daniels, a 5-foot-9 guard, registered seven 20+ point performances throughout the month of February while leading the Wolverines to a 9-1 mark on the month. The Compton native posted a 45.7 shooting percentage while averaging 23 points and 6.2 assists per game through 10 contests.
SBVC was tabbed as the regular season champion for the Inland Empire Athletic Conference at the end of the month with a 14-2 league record (23-5 overall). The Wolverines eventually landed as the No. 3 seed in the Southern California Regional bracket and advanced to the Elite Eight.
