Modesto state champion Snaer shines at USATF U20 Championships; 3C2A well-represented
EUGENE, Ore. - Modesto Junior College sprint star Taylor Snaer continued her impressive season by placing second last week in the both the 100- and 200-meter events at the USATF U20 Track and Field Championships held in Eugene, Oregon.
Snaer, the 2024 3C2A champion in both events at Saddleback College in May, finished second in 100 in 11.54 seconds on Wednesday before matching that second-place finish in the 200 with a time of 23.09 seconds. She posted the second-fastest times while winning preliminary races in both events, crossing in 11.35 in the 100 and 23.09 in the 200. Avery Lewis (11.51) and Elise Cooper (23.02), both racing unattached, were respective winners in the two events. Snaer represented Modesto Junior College in the prestigious meet.
By virtue of her strong showing, Snaer will hope to secure a berth at the World Athletics U20 Championship in Lima, Peru to be held August 26-31.
