Jockeying In State Women's Basketball Top 25 Going Into Final Week Of Regular Season
The latest California Community College Women's Basketball Coaches Association (CCCWBCA) State Top 25 goes into the final week of the regular season with some teams battling to get into the postseason, some trying to grab a conference title, and others just preparing for the 2026 Regional Playoffs.
State #1 Mt. San Antonio (26-1) is one of 14 teams with 20 or more victories while #5 MiraCosta remains the only undefeated team at 26-0. San Joaquin Delta moves up to #2 and tops in the North region followed closely by #3 Folsom Lake in a battle to the wire for the Big 8 Conference crown.
Moorpark goes up to #4, Laney comes in at #6, Irvine Valley bolts up to #7, Santa Rosa JC climbs to #8, and both Mt. San Jacinto at #9 and Glendale at #10 leap into that top 10.
Fifteen teams from the South are part of the elite 25. Five Orange Empire Conference squads are in that mix including Saddleback at #11, Cypress #13, Orange Coast #14, and Santa Ana at #24.
Two teams making waves of late are #16 Long Beach City and #19 College of the Sequoias, both rising six positions from the previous ranking. Meanwhile, San Jose City takes a trip into the ratings at #23.
This week's theme is scoring leaders across the state, and every team is represented either in the ranking notes are other leaders.
