Week #4 Players and Pitchers of the Week Announced
The California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association is pleased to announce it's Week #4 (February 21st – 27th) State Player and Pitcher of the Week. Santiago Canyon College freshman Emili Olague is the Player of the Week, while freshman hurler Angelica Dark of Cosumnes River College is the Pitcher of the Week
Pitcher of the Week – Angelica Dark – Cosumnes River College
Freshman pitcher Angelica Dark tossed a no-hitter on the week in the Hawks win over Lassen College. Dark, faced just 18 batters in five innings of work, giving up just to walks and an unearned run in a 10-1 victory for Cosumnes River. Dark fanned four in the victory. Dark hails from Woodland, CA where she prepped at Pioneer High School.
Player of the Week – Emili Olague – Santiago Canyon College
Freshman designated player Emili Olague powered the Hawks past a pair of schools ranked in the SoCal Top 10. Olague went a combined 8 for 12, with six of her eight hits going for extra bases. Olague laced five doubles and hit a pair of home runs, driving in six total runs, scoring four times, and drawing a trio of walks. Olague prepped at Marina HS and hails from Huntington Beach, CA.
