Coalinga’s Ke’Marian Albert, Contra Costa’s Khalil Hunter Named 3CFCA State Players of the Week

The California Community College Football Coaches Association (3CFCA) has named Coalinga College running back Ke'Marian Albert the State Offensive Player of the Week and Contra Costa College defensive back Khalil Hunter its State Defensive Player of the Week for Week 1.

Albert was instrumental in helping lead the Falcons to their 41-30 opening-day win at College of Siskiyous. He totaled 170 yards of offense, rushing 28 times for 107 yards with 3 TDs, while also catching three passes for 63 yards.

Albert is a sophomore originally out of Boca Ciega High School in Gulfport, Florida.

Hunter came up with a pair of big plays in the Comets' 26-8 win over Gavilan College. He had two interceptions, including one returned 96 yards for a pick-six touchdown. Hunter added a pair of tackles and broke up a pass.

Hunter is a sophomore out of American Canyon High School in Vallejo.

SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION (SCFA) PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

Offensive: Frankie Villabazo, Chaffey, QB
Villabazo completed 14 of 22 passes for 221 yards and 4 TDs. He also had 7 rushes for 64 yards and 1 TD to lead Chaffey to an opening-day win.

Defensive: Chris Champion, Canyons, OLB
Champion led the SCFA with 3 sacks and totaled 9 tackles with 4 tackles for loss.

Special Teams/All-Purpose: Rajhayn Wilson, Bakersfield, WR/PR
Wilson returned a punt 54 yards for a touchdown in BC's win over Santa Ana.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA FOOTBALL CONFERENCE (NCFC) PLAYERS OF THE WEEK

National Division Offensive: Bryson Davis, Modesto, RB
Davis totaled 28 carries for 145 yards and scored all three of Modesto's touchdowns in the Pirates' 21-7 win at American River College.

National Division Defensive: David Tauscher, Butte, OLB
Tauscher led with 3.5 sacks to go along with 5 tackles and a pass break up in Butte's 27-3 victory at Foothill.

American Division Offensive: Ke'Marian Albert, Coalinga, RB
Albert ran 28 times for 107 yards and 3 TDs in Coalinga's 41-30 win at Siskiyous. He also caught 3 passes for 63 yards.

American Division Defensive: Khalil Hunter, Contra Costa, DB
Hunter had 2 interceptions, including one returned 96 yards for a pick-six touchdown. He added 2 tackles and broke up a pass in Contra Costa's 26-8 win over Gavilan.
