Long Beach City jumps to No. 1 in women's water polo poll; Men's top three unchanged
Previous Polls (women): Sept. 2 l Sep. 9
Previous Polls (men): Sept. 2 l Sep. 9
SARATOGA - For the first time in over two years, there’s a new #1 team in the CCCWPCA Women’s Top Ten poll. Long Beach City replaces two-time defending champion Santa Barbara City after knocking off the Vaqueros and previous #2 Riverside.
On the men’s side, the top three teams remained unchanged, but previously unranked LA Valley jumped all the way to #4. There was plenty of movement in spots four through ten.
The attention last week was on a pair of SoCal tournaments – the Golden West Invitational for the men and the Orange Coast Invitational for the women - that featured a plethora of Top Ten squads. This week, conference action begins for most teams. Will next week’s rankings stay the same or will change ripple the pools across the state?
