Bio

Robert Annand began his career in public education in Delano and left the K-12 system after serving as principal of Lemoore High School. He went to WHCC as president in 1968 and retired in 1982 to Carmel Valley. He was inducted into the Ford-California Community College Sports Hall of Frame for his advocacy of women in athletics and, according to his family, he was equally proud of his advocacy for the expansion of WHC to a second campus in Lemoore.

Annand is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mildred; his daughter, Iathan; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Hewas preceded in death by his son, Kent, in 2004.
