Santa Monica, Evergreen Valley and Hartnell hold down top three spots in men's soccer poll
SAN BERNARDINO - After weeks of action, there has been one consistent thing that has happened in California men’s soccer during the 2025 season – inconsistency.
However, one team has been able to avoid that issue for the most part this season, and that team moved to the top of the bi-weekly California Community College Sports Information Association poll this week.
Santa Monica, the last team in the state without a loss, received eight of the 12 first-place votes in the poll of sports information professionals to take the top spot, receiving 225 points.
The Corsairs hold on the top spot is not as firm as others have had in the past, however. Lurking close behind is Evergreen Valley with 210 points, and Hartnell, which received two first-place votes and 207 points.
The field drops significantly from there, but remains tight. Santa Rosa polled No. 4 this week with 156 points while El Camino was fifth at 149. San Bernardino Valley, winners of four in a row, was sixth with 145 points, and Cuyamaca was seventh with 138 points – including two first-place votes.
Feather River, which was in the top spot in the season’s opening poll, sits at eighth with 131 points. Cosumnes River (123) and Oxnard (113) wrapped up the top 10.
