"Santas" - Monica and Rosa - put claws atop latest CCCSIA Men's Soccer Poll
SAN BERNARDINO - No losses still means something – at least to the voters of the bi-weekly California Community College Sports Information Association men’s soccer poll.
The sports information professionals in the poll kept Santa Monica atop the voting for a second cycle, giving the Corsairs seven of the 12 first-place votes. But their hold atop the poll remains less than secure, as Santa Rosa sits 15 points behind in the No. 2 spot, receiving three first-place votes.
From there, the poll drops into a tightly bunched group in slots three through six. Evergreen Valley dropped a spot into the No. 3 spot with 179 points, one point ahead of Cuyamaca, which received a first-place vote. Cuyamaca is four points ahead of No. 5 Norco – which also received a first-place vote – while Hartnell clocks in at No. 6 with 163 points.
Mt. San Antonio was the biggest mover of the new poll, jumping 11 spots to No. 9. San Bernardino Valley went the other way, dropping 10 spots into the 16th spot.
