Win streaks shape CCCWPCA water polo week six rankings
SANTA CRUZ – Teams with double-digit win streaks dominated the California Community College Water Polo Coaches Association (CCCWPCA) week six Top Ten rankings, especially on the women’s side.
Long Beach City sits atop the women’s rankings for the sixth straight week thanks to a 58-game winning streak that stretches back toSept. 7, 2024. No. 2 Santa Barbara City, whose only loss was on Sept. 12 to LBCC, boasts a 16-game streak, while No. 3 Orange Coast and No. 4 Riverside City are both riding 10-game runs.
Golden West has won 15 in a row and is the No. 1 men’s squad for the sixth consecutive week. The Rustlers’ only 2025 loss is to NCAA Div. 1 Long Beach St. West Valley, whose only loss is a 10-9 last-second thriller to GWC Sept. 20, again holds down the No. 2 spot and is 18-1 against 3C2A opponents in 2025.
