RIVERSIDE - Los Angeles Harbor’s upset of East Los Angeles opened the door for a shake up in the top five in this week’s CCCMBCA Top 30 Poll. Although, Los Angeles Harbor’s victory over then-No. 3 East Los Angeles did little for the Seahawks, it allowed Citrus, which is riding a state-best 13 win streak to move to No. 3; San Bernardino Valley moved to No. 4; and San Jose City, winners of 12 straight, leap frogged East Los Angeles, West Valley and San Diego City to claim No.5.
Fullerton, winners of 11 straight, remained No. 1 followed by San Francisco City, winners of 10 straight.
East Los Angeles, which had its 11-game win streak snapped in the loss to Los Angeles Harbor, fell to No. 6. The Huskies’ fall pushed West Valley, who East Los Angeles had beaten a couple weeks ago, down to No. 7. San Diego City got caught up in the avalanche, falling to No. 8. Yuba and Sequoias remained No. 9 and No. 10, respectively.
Despite the Los Angeles Harbor’s victory over East Los Angeles, the Seahawks remained at No. 11, although they did build a bigger cushion between themselves and No. 12 Redwoods. This week, Columbia and San Diego Miramar swapped position at No. 13 and No. 14, respectively. Fresno City, which begins the week tied with Sequoias in the Central Valley Conference, climbed two slots to No. 15 to round out the top half of the Top 30.
