Feather River No. 1 in final State Women's Volleyball Top 25
Feather River College found magic at the right time of the year, and right time of the championship final in being selected No. 1 in the Final 2024 CCCWVCA State Top 25 Rankings.
The Golden Eagles rallied from two sets down to perform a reverse sweep on previously #1-ranked Fresno City to win their third state championship (also 2019 and 2022). An original #6 seed in the North and #4 for the tourney also had beaten North #3 seed San Joaquin Delta, a team that had been at the top of the rankings for much of the season, in the regional finals.
The final top 10 teams were an even split between North and South with Fresno #2, San Diego Mesa #3, American River at #4, Long Beach City #5, Cerritos #6, Sierra #7, LA Mission #8, Grossmont #9, and San Joaquin Delta rounding out the group at #10.
