NO. 23 CSM VB EXTENDS WIN STREAK TO 5 ENTERING COAST NORTH PLAY   The College of San Mateo women’s volleyball team defeated Lassen College and host Sacramento City College Tuesday to extend its winning streak to five matches, heading into conference play. All, except the last match, have been straight set victories by the Lady Bulldogs (12-4), currently ranked No. 23 in the state.   At the Sac City Classic, CSM rolled past Lassen, 25-18, 25-13, 25-11. Hannah Gomez had 17 kills to lead the Bulldogs over Sacramento, 25-23, 18-25, 25-22, 25-16. On defense, Coast North leader Honoria Aguilar had 20 digs and Mona Moala had three solo blocks.   --San Mateo opens play in the tough Coast North Conference on Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Monterey Peninsula College (3-2). CSM’s lone loss in the last eight contests was to Big 8 Conference leader Sierra, ranked No. 8 in the state. The win skein includes straight set wins over Peninsula foes Foothill and Canada in Coast crossover contests.   The Coast North has four teams ranked in the state top 25, including No. 6 Hartnell and No. 7 Cabrillo.
