Riverside Blanks Winless Imperial Valley, 9-0, in Non-conference Action

RIVERSIDE -- Posting six individual shut-outs and losing only four sets overall, the Riverside City College (RCC) Tigers women's tennis team blanked the visiting Imperial Valley College (IVC) Arabs, 9-0, in a non-conference match Tusday afternoon (Mar. 22) at RCC's Fran BUshman Tennis Complex.

RCC frosh Gabrielle Ante (Riverside / Arlington HS '15) -- who is pictured -- played at No. 1 singles and defeated Any Diaz, 6-1, 6-0.

With the win, Riverside improves to 9-7 overall. IVC is 0-6 overall.

Riverside City, which is 2-5 in Orange Empire Conference (OEC) competition, will return to action on Tuesday, Mar. 29, when it hosts the Saddleback College Gauchos in an OEC match beginning at 2 p.m.
