Cuesta struck early against the Mountain Lions but kept the pressure on their visiting foes and scored again to equal the offensive output from their previous three games. Freshman Oneal Hunt opened the day's scoring. with her team-leading third goal of the season, just two minutes into the game, but DeAnza clamped down on her for the next 88 minutes and forced Cuesta to look elsewhere for offense. Freshman Taylor Lynch scored her second goal of the season midway through the first half, thanks to a beautiful set-up by all-WSC Midfielder Hailey Hallford, and put the game out of reach before the midway point. After the intermission, Freshman Forward Payton Lapp came alive with her first two goals of the season. Lapp netted her first goal an hour into the game and thrilled the fans one more time about a half-hour later in the 87th minute.
