3CFCA Announces All-State Teams and End of Year Awards

LOS ANGELES, CA — The California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association has announced the 2024 All-State teams, Players, Pitchers, and Coaches of the Year awards. 

Eighteen players from the North and 18 players from the South make up the All-State teams. Fifteen players from the North and 15 players from the South make up the All-Northern and All-Southern teams. 

North End of the Year Awards

Ari Williams of San Mateo was named the North Player of the Year after leading the Bulldogs to a No. 2 seed in the North and a 33-5 record. Williams finished the regular season with a .427 batting average, a .492 on-base percentage, and a .632 slugging percentage. She added 43 RBIs, 50 hits, and 28 runs. 

Ariel Nava picked up North Pitcher of the Year honors after leading San Joaquin Delta to a No. 1 seed in the North. Nava posted a 27-3 record with two saves. She ranks second in the state with 199 strikeouts and pitched 24 complete games with 10 shutouts. She finished with a 1.29 ERA and batters posted just a .191 batting average against her.

Jim Fisher earned North Coach of the Year honors after leading San Joaquin Delta to a 34-4 overall record, 22-2 conference record, Big 8 title, and number one seed in the North. The Mustangs will open the season against Golden Valley champion Yuba.

South End of the Year Awards

Jordan Elias of Fullerton earned South Player of the Year honors for the South's No.1 seed. Elias ranked fourth in the state with a .485 batting average and second with 64 hits. She added 25 RBIs, 42 runs, and 17 stolen bases.

Fullerton's Macy Brandl was tabbed South Pitcher of the Year. Brandl ranked third in the state with an incredible 1.08 ERA and in the top 10 in strikeouts (152), strikeouts per game (7.48), batting average against (.174), and shutouts (8). She finished with a 20-2 record.

Fullerton co-head coaches Crystal Aguirre and Marian Mendoza were named South Coaches of the Year after leading the Hornets to a 36-4 overall record, a 21-0 conference record, an Orange Empire title, and a No. 1 ranking in the state. The Hornets wait for the results of the South play-in games to see who they will face in the opening round.
