Three Straight Top Rankings for San Mateo
LOS ANGELES — Despite their legendary 24-game win streak coming to an end, the College of San Mateo Bulldogs remain the top-ranked team according to the California Community College Fastpitch Coaches Association. The other top two spots have flipped since the last ranking, with Palomar College (18-1) advancing in front of Cypress College for the runner-up.
Four teams jumped at least three spots on this poll, with No. 11 El Camino College making up the most ground advancing four spots to No. 7. Mt. SAC, No. 6 San Joaquin Delta, and No. 5 Consumnes River College all stay clustered together ahead of three ranks each on this poll.
No. 20 Merced College and No. 13 Sacramento City College have gone on hot streaks to place themselves on the list this time around after not cutting the last rankings. Both programs are owners of a 15-10 record.
