El Camino Earns 20th Win

TORRANCE, Calif. – The ECC softball team earned its 20th win of the season on Tuesday with a 10-2 victory in five innings over Long Beach City (8-19, 4-9).

The Warriors (20-6, 11-1) are tied for first-place in the South Coast Conference with Mt. SAC. It is the first 20-win season for ECC since at least 2005.

A six-run first inning and 10 total hits helped the Warriors in the game. After the Vikings scored two in the fourth, the Warriors got one back in the bottom half of the inning and held of LBCC in the fifth for the five-inning victory.

Sophomore Reina Trejo (Torrance HS) improved to 9-6 on the year in the circle. She gave up just three hits in the complete game and no earned runs.

Jackie Gonzalez (El Segundo HS) led the Warriors with three RBI.

The Warriors host LA Harbor on Thursday at 3 p.m.
