Natalie Saucedo had a triple and a double, scored two runs, and knocked in another as College of San Mateo's state top-ranked women's softball team rolled past Coast Conference south contender Gavilan College, 7-3, in Gilroy. The Bulldogs (29-1, 10-0 Coast North) started off with four runs in the top of the first frame – all that they needed for their 25th consecutive victory. Gavilan fell two games back in the Coast South race (20-9, 6-4).
Brooke Ramsey went 3-for-4 at the plate, including a double, and had two RBI. Raquel Martinez contributed three singles to CSM's 14-hit attack. Talisa Fiame had her 42nd RBI to lead all Northern California teams and rank No. 2 in the state.
Ashlynne Neil got the win, improving her season record to 13-1.
--Coach Nicole Borg's Bulldogs return home from a successful three-game road trip on Thursday to host Coast South leader Cabrillo College (22-8, 8-2) at 3 p.m. The Seahawks have the second best record among all 13 Coast teams.
