Benjamin Earl Davidson began his extraordinary football career while attending East Los Angeles College. Following the 1957 season he earned a scholarship to the University of Washington and four years later was drafted by the New York Giants. He eventually made his way to the Oakland Raiders where he spent a majority of his professional career. He was a standout player on the Raiders and in Super Bowl II in 1968. He was an AFL All-star in 1966, 1967, 1968. Following the Raider's move to the NFL, Davidson was named to the NFL Pro Bowl team following the 1971 season.

In 1995, Davidson established a scholarship for female and male student athletes at East Los Angeles College for academic and athletic excellence. In addition, Davidson served 10 years as the National Vice President for the Muscular Dystrophy Association, an organization he has been involved with for nearly 40 years.
