WALNUT -- The Orange Coast College men's tennis team picked up a nice road win on Thursday, topping host Mt. San Antonio, 7-2, in a nonconference matchup.
More solid doubles play kicked things off for the Pirates (4-1) with wins coming from the twosomes of Logan Friedman/Cole Martin (8-4), Will Davis/Thiago Cintra (8-2) and Ryan Magers/Chris Mietkiewicz (8-4).
In singles play, Coast earned four straight-set wins from Friedman (6-4, 5-2), Cintra (6-1, 6-0), Magers (6-1, 6-0) and Mietkiewicz (6-2, 6-2). In spite of a pair of tough losses at No. 2 and 3, the Pirates used their talent through the entire lineup to pick up the team win against the Mounties (1-3).
Coast will return to action on Friday morning against Imperial Valley, beginning at 10 a.m.
