HUNTINGTON BEACH -- The Orange Coast College women's soccer team used three late goals to pull away from Golden West College for a 4-1 Orange Empire Conference win on Tuesday at GWC.
The Rustlers jumped out with a goal in the 3rd minute of play and it stayed that way until the final minute of the first half when Stephanie Serrato took a Finley Doucette pass and found the back of the net to even the score at 1.
In the 75th minute, Kennedy Heimer took a Doucette pass and scored to put Coast ahead, 2-1. From there, OCC tacked on two more tallies from Leena Torres (Litzy Morales assist) and Serrato (Clarissa Sullivan assist).
OCC goalkeeper Leila Saldic brushed off the early goal and held the Rustlers off the scoreboard the rest of the way with six saves.
Coast will return to the OCC Soccer Complex on Friday against Fullerton College, beginning at 3 p.m.
