FC TAKES GAME TWO FROM CYPRESS

Cypress
In the OEC series, the Hornets took game two from Cypress College at home Thursday with a 7-2 victory.
The Chargers snuck in a run in the first inning off a SAC Fly to left by Luca Arenado that scored Albert De La Rosa.
FC went wild in the second scoring six runs thanks to a double by Noah Rodriguez that plated Jacob Larson and Andrew Pyle. Ryan Kirk knocked a single that scored Rodriguez, and Diego Franco came across after taking advantage of a Cypress error. Rudy Gonzales crushed a double to deep left field scoring Kirk and Trevor Schmidt.
In the third, the Hornets made it 7-1 after Noah Rodrigues got on from another Cypress error, which allowed Landon Runge to go home.
The Chargers got one more run back in the 7th when Luke Matlock ripped a double to left and soon after came home when Albert De La Rosa copied with a double to left of his own scoring Matlock.
Ari Kligman (3-0) earned his third win of the season going 5 strong innings with 2 hits against, no earned runs, had a walk, and 3 Ks. Ethan Moran took over for the save throwing 4 innings with 4 hits against, had 1 earned run, 1 walk, and 3 Ks.
