Bento-Jackson Hits Six 3-Pointers in 19th Straight Win Over Grossmont

The Knights were coming off a important 79-68 road win at Palomar on Wednesday night that gave them sole possession of first place in the PCAC. They scored the first 12 points of that game and never trailed with Logan Huston dropping 27 points.
The Knights did not have as great a start on Friday as Grossmont kept the game close for most of the first half, but City put together an 8-2 run to finish the half with a 44-33 lead.
San Diego City then outscored Grossmont 21-9 in the first six minutes of the second half to open up a 23-point advantage.
The Knights knocked down six of their season-high 10 3-pointers in the second half, inlcuding three from Cameron Marshall, who finished with 13 points and nine assists. Bento-Jackson made four 3s in the first half and hit two more in the second to help the Knights pull away for a 31-point victory.
Not only have the Knights won 19 straight over the Griffins, but they have also won by at least 30 in the last five meetings.
Junior Camacho scored 14 points to go with seven rebounds and six assists, while Micah Brickner added 13 points and five rebounds.
Reid Celestin provided 16 points, four rebounds and three steals off the bench.
San Diego City's next two games are away at Mesa on Tuesday at 5 p.m. and at Imperial Valley on Feb. 5.
City's next home game is scheduled for Feb. 7 at 5 p.m. vs. Cuyamaca.
