Mt. SAC Women’s Soccer Sets Season High with 13-0 Win Over East Los Angeles

In their highest-scoring game of the season, the Mt. SAC Women's Soccer Team triumphed over East Los Angeles College with a staggering 13-0 win on Tuesday, October 22.The Mounties showcased their offensive dominance, leaving the Huskies overwhelmed throughout the game.

From the start, Mt. SAC established control, scoring an impressive ten goals in the first half alone. Eden Ramirez opened the scoring in the 6th minute with her first of two goals, followed by standout Brianna Bernal, who netted three goals in just four minutes, quickly pushing the score to 4-0 within the first 15 minutes.

Michelle Vazquez and Sofia Torres each scored two goals, while Noely Rodriguez, Alexandra Arredondo, Leah Montelongo, and Danielle Ascencio each contributed one goal.

Defensively, the Mounties were strong, not allowing the Huskies any shots on goal. This victory marks their eighth shutout in nine wins, showcasing their impressive defensive skills.

With this win, the team improves to a 9-4-3 overall record and remains perfect at 5-0 in conference play. East Los Angeles College falls to 1-10-2 overall and 0-4-1 in the South Coast Conference.

Next, the Mounties will face off against the El Camino College Warriors in a highly anticipated conference matchup on Friday, October 25, at 1:30 PM.
