The American River College Men's Water Polo program season came to an end in the quarterfinals of the 3C2A Water Polo State Championships. The Beavers dropped a heartbreaker to Long Beach City College by a final score of 9-8.
Long Beach City College scored with one second left in the match to break the 8-8 tie and prevent the match from going into overtime. After trailing multiple times by three goals, the Beavers erased Long Beach's lead to tie the game in the fourth quarter.
The Beavers 2024 season was highlighted by ranking as high as #3 in the state, back-to-back Big 8 Conference Championships, and finishing 2nd in the NorCal Championship.
