The American River College Women's Water Polo program dropped a close conference match to Modesto Junior College on Wednesday by a final score of 12-8.
After trailing at halftime, 6-5, the Beavers took a 8-6 lead behind three goals in the third quarter. However, the Beavers were not able to hold onto the lead in the fourth quarter. Modesto would score five goals in the fourth to make the final score 12-8.
With the loss the Beavers drop to 1-4 in conference, but will prepare to bounce back as they travel to Citrus College this weekend to participate ini the Citrus Tournament.
