Moorpark hit .349 on Wednesday in a 25-17, 25-13, 25-16 women's volleyball sweep of visiting SBCC.

Megan Wall paced the No. 9 Raiders (9-3, 4-0 WSC North) with 12 kills and a .407 hitting percentage. Moorpark has won five straight and eight of the last nine.

Bella Brandt had 16 digs and Lauren Holsted added 15 for the Vaqueros (6-11, 2-3).

"Moorpark is undefeated in our league and we knew going into their gym was going to be a challenge," said coach Kat Niksto. "We had moments where we hung toe-to-toe with them and played some great defensive volleyball. That being said, we gave up too many free points on unforced errors and our passing let down.

"Jordan (Falconer) had a very efficient night attacking, with five kills on nine swings and only one error to hit .444%. She led the team in kills and is such an emotional leader and energizer on the court."

The Vaqueros will open the second round of WSC play by hosting L.A. Mission on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
