COMPTON, Calif. --- El Camino College opened South Coast Conference play with a dominant 9-0 victory over Compton on Tuesday afternoon at Tay Brown Stadium.
Julia Camacho netted her first career goals with two as seven different Warriors found the back of the net on Tuesday. Catherine Curwood-Wagner also netted two goals on the day
Nancy Albillo also scored her first career goal while Jordan Stemberga recorded the win in net, playing the first half. Nevaeh Johnson closed out the match in the second half and made one save.
Camacho started things off in the eighth minute as she scored off a pass from Ashley Ruiz to make it 1-0. Eileen Joiner followed in the 21st minute off an assist from Catherine Curwood-Wagner to make it 2-0.
The Warriors would get goals from Ruby Colcol and Albillo within two minutes of each other to take a 5-0 lead at halftime and they never looked back.
The Warriors will stay on the road to conclude the week at L.A. Harbor on Friday with kickoff set for 4 p.m.
