Usually, it's not the best outcome for a match, but playing with only 9 players on the field the Hornets finished a tough road game at Santiago Canyon 0-0.
The scrappy short-handed Hornets have been fighting through injuries all season, but Friday's game at Santiago Canyon showed true grit by all the FC players. Even after the tie, the Hawks remain undefeated in Orange Empire Conference-play with a record of 6-0-4. SCC is still fighting for a first-place finish with Saddleback leading the way (8-0-2) after defeating No.1 in state Cypress (6-1-2) last Tuesday 3-0.
Fullerton may not have the best record at 1-8-1, but the heart of the team is still beating strong.
It was a complete team effort playing tough defense against the Hawks, while FC goalie Kyra Mangini racked up 17 saves with no goals against.
Up Next: The Hornets (1-12-3 overall, 1-8-1 OEC) will host Irvine Valley College on Tuesday, November 5th at 3:00 pm.
