KNIGHTS EDGE LONG BEACH, 11-10, FOR 7TH WIN IN A ROW
Sophomore center fielder Matt Bagdasar went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run to help the Knights earn their seventh straight win, 11-10, over Long Beach City on Saturday. The Knights blew a 7-run lead, but Joey Wozniak, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, came around to score the winning run in the seventh inning.

The Knights blew a 7-run lead, but Joey Wozniak, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, came around to score the winning run in the seventh inning.
Long Beach went ahead, 1-0, in the first inning, but the Knights responded with three runs in the 2nd, two in the 3rd, and two more in the 4th to go ahead 7-1.
The three runs in the 2nd inning came off three straight RBI singles by Bagdasar, Nolan Burr, and Carlos Cosio.
Wozniak hit a 2-RBI triple in the 3rd inning, and the two runs in the 4th came off an error and an RBI single by Juan Jacobo, who went 3-for-5 on the day.
The Knights took a 10-3 lead after an RBI single by Brian Reyes in the 6th, but Long Beach answered with seven runs in the top of the 7th to tie the game at 10-10. A single, two doubles, and a 2-run home run led to that big inning for the Vikings.
Wozniak led the bottom of the 7th off with a double and then scored what turned out to be the winning run on a throwing error after an infield hit by Bagdasar.
Anthony Pizzo (2-0) earned the win and Cesar Fitch recorded his fourth save of the season after retiring the side in the 9th.
The Knights will host East Los Angeles on Sunday at noon and will be home again on Tuesday at 2 p.m. vs. Irvine Valley.
