Four Vaqueros finished with double-digit points as No. 14 Santa Barbara City College notched their fourth straight conference win, 78-52, over Allan Hancock on Wednesday.

Santa Barbara is now 16-4 on the season and 4-1 in conference play.

Making smart plays with the ball was the hallmark of the victory. The team recorded 26 assists, 26 steals, and tied its season-low mark of just 15 turnovers.

"What I loved about tonight's game was that every number that was called, and the minutes were even. They showed up because Hancock is very, very physical," head coach Sandrine Krul said. "Do not look at Allan Hancock's record. They are not a typical 7-14 team. They are well-coached and challenge you on every possession."

Four players off the bench for Santa Barbara played at least 14 minutes in the victory.

Santa Barbara jumped out to an early 20-12 lead in the first quarter, thanks in part to Kenedy Nutter knocking down a pair of 3-pointers.

Isis Poteet and Kaylee Lawson led the Vaqueros' attack in the second period with six points each, helping the team take a 36-26 lead into halftime.

The defense shone in the third quarter, with Santa Barbara holding Allan Hancock to just nine points while recording eight steals.

Balanced scoring was key in the fourth quarter, with 10 players contributing points as the Vaqueros outscored the Bulldogs 27-17 in the final frame.

"In a game like tonight, having 12 of 14 players score is a credit to each member of the team for working hard in practice," Krul said.

Poteet earned her ninth double-double of the season, finishing with 14 points, 11 rebounds (six offensive), three steals, and two blocks. Nutter added 12 points, three assists, and five steals.

Aariah Fox contributed 10 points, seven assists, and six steals, while Lawson tallied 13 points and two blocks. Kaylee Bosetti recorded eight points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

Jaden Bone led the bench scorers with nine points, while Siena Hoban added three points, four assists, and four steals.

"I'm just really happy with this team," Krul said. "We haven't had a road game since Jan. 4, so for them to stay locked in is a huge credit to the players and how they are for each other mentally and physically."

The Vaqueros return home on Wednesday, Jan. 29, to take on Cuesta College at 5 p.m. in the Sports Pavilion.
