San Diego City is off to a 2-0 start in the PCAC after defeating Cuyamaca, 9-0, in a one-sided match with three Knights scoring multiple goals, including Bianca Calafato who recorded a hat trick.
San Diego City took control early with Desiree Garcia scoring the opening goal in the 11th minute.
Daisy Perez scored her second goal of the season in the 26th minute and Bianca Calafato put the Knights ahead 3-0 with her first goal of the day in the 37th minute.
In the second half, the Knights' offensive onslaught continued with Christiana Macias pushing their lead to 4-0 with her third goal of the season in the 48th minute.
Lindsay Soto put in her first of the year in the 59th, Daisy Perez added her second of the day in the 73rd, and Bianca Calafato found the back of the net two more times in the 79th and 88th minutes to go up 8-0. It was Calafato's second hat trick with the Knights as she scored four in a game against Grossmont last season.
Garcia added the final goal in the 89th minute to give the Knights their largest margin of victory since October of 2021 when they beat Imperial Valley by the same score of 9-0.
