NELSON & ALLEN PROVIDE 44 POINTS OFF BENCH IN KNIGHTS' WIN OVER GROSSMONT

Nelson made 9-of-18 shots, including 4-of-11 from three-point territory. Allen made all six of his field goal attempts and made 9-of-11 from the free throw line.
The Knights shot 53.6 percent from the floor and made 20-of-25 (80 percent) free throws. It was the sixth time so far this season that the Knights have shot over 50 percent and the second time in the last three games.
City finished the final 4:24 of the first half with a 14-4 run and went into the locker room with a 41-28 halftime lead.
Grossmont (9-7) got back within four points midway through the second half, but the Knights pulled away with a 24-1 run over a six-minute stretch to take a commanding 81-54 lead with 3:09 remaining.
The Knights won the rebounding battle, 38-17, and outscored Grossmont 13-0 on second chance points.
The 25-point margin of victory was the second largest of the season.
Nate Queen was perfect on the night, making all three of his field goal attempts, including two three-pointers, and all six of his free throw attempts for 14 points.
Alex Wilbourn added 10 points, eight rebounds, three assists, and three blocks.
The Knights improved to 12-6 on the season and will host MiraCosta on Wednesday, January 13 at 5 p.m.
