Shushan Krikorian scores 21 points and leads GCC to 67-32 win over Bakersfield College Jan. 18; 8th straight win improves record to 3-0 in WSC South and 13-3 overall.
The GCC Women's Basketball Team made the Vaquero Gym feel like home Saturday Jan. 18 in its 67-32 win over visiting Bakersfield College for its eighth straight win to improve to 13-3 overall and are 3-0 in the WSC South. The game was moved to the Vaquero Gym when the Verdugo Gym sustained damage to its roof during the recent wind storm.
 
Sophomore Shushan Krikorian led all scorers with 21 points as she hit on 8 of 10 shots from the field and four of five free throws in just 21 minutes of play. Aniah Bradley added eight points off the bench and was one of four players to have four rebounds as Glendale totaled 35 for the game. Shadel Ffrench had a game high seven rebounds as well as six points and Janelly Portillo had eight points in just 8 minutes of play as 12 GCC players scored in the game and 13 played.
 
Glendale continues conference play Wednesday Jan. 22 at 5 pm at L.A. Valley College and hosts Antelope Valley College at 3 pm Saturday Jan. 25.
