No. 1 Women’s Water Polo Dominates Riverside, Advances to State Championship Final

The top-ranked Long Beach City College women's water polo team delivered an impressive performance in the 3C2A State Championship semifinal, defeating Riverside City College 17-8 to secure their spot in the finals.
"I think we played great today because we stuck to what we do best," said goalkeeper Avery Reyes. "When we play our game, we always perform well. We're ready to take on the finals."
Jennifer Connelly led the offensive charge, scoring six goals, recording two steals, and dishing out three assists. Teammate Lola Annear contributed across the board with four goals, four steals, and three drawn ejections.
In the cage, Reyes anchored the defense with seven saves while holding the Tigers to just eight goals.
The Vikings will compete for the 2024 3C2A State Championship title on Saturday, Nov. 23, at 1 p.m. against the reigning champions, Santa Barbara City College.
