GCC Women's Soccer stays unbeaten with 3-0 win over Oxnard College; Luisa Hilario nets two goals as Lady Vaqs improve to 2-0
At the end of the day, a more balanced effort has provided a solid start to the 2024 season for the GCC Women's Soccer Team as the Lady Vaqs improved to 2-0 with a 3-0 home win over Oxnard College Tuesday Sept. 3 at Sartoris Field. GCC opened the season with a 2-1 win at Compton College Aug. 30.
 
"We are playing with more focus and intensity throughout the entire game,'' said sophomore Luisa Hilario who has scored three goals this season.  "It's early in the season but we are working hard at practice and it shows in the games and we are having a lot of fun.''
 
Sophomore Madison Messier scored the third goal of the game at the 29:07 mark of the first half to close out the scoring for GCC and goalie Liliana Reynoso had four saves to pace the defense.
 
Glendale closes out play this week on Friday Sept. 6 with a 5 pm home game against Imperial Valley College at Sartoris Field.
