BAKERSFIELD, CA—The Bakersfield College women's soccer team played another dominating game, winning a decisive 3-0 over Lemoore.
The scoring began in the 12th minute when sophomore Emily Vincent found the back of the net with an unassisted effort, putting Bakersfield ahead 1-0. The Renegades maintained their lead throughout the first half, keeping Lemoore's offense in check with solid defensive work.
Just after the break, BC doubled their lead. Freshman Kimberly Garay struck in the 47th minute, earning her first collegiate goal, to make it 2-0. The Renegades continued to press, and in the 70th minute, another freshman, Jasmine Sandoval, scored her first collegiate goal, bringing the final score to 3-0.
Lemoore struggled to create offensive opportunities, with only four shots on goal.
BC's record improved to 3-1. Their next match will be at home on September 13th at 4:30 against College of the Sequoias.
