WHITTIER – Rio Hondo Collee battled but came up short in an 82-76 loss to visiting Los Angeles Harbor College on Wednesday night.
The Roadrunners are still in search of their first win and fell to 0-4 with the loss.
Rio Hondo trailed 35-32 at halftime and got within five points late at 77-72 with 21 second remaining in the contest. But the Seahawks made 5 of 6 free throws over the remainder of the contest to hold on for the win.
Kenny Hunt led the Roadrunners with 20 points. He added 7 assists, 4 rebounds, and 4 steals. Caiden Brown chipped in with 19 points off the bench and had 7 boards. Fidel Cabrera posted 13 points while Dorian Tate totaled 8 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.
The Roadrunners return to the court on Friday (Nov. 22) when they travel to Santa Ana College for a 5 p.m. non-conference game.
