
Men’s Tennis Continue CVC Play
The Giants defeated Porterville College 8-1. Yufan He (Mission Oak HS) and Masen Davis (Hanford West HS) won 8-0 in #2 doubles. In #2 doubles, Christopher Rosales (Mt. Whitney HS) won in straight sets (6-2, 6-0). #5 singles, Ismael Navarro (Tulare Western HS) in straight sets by going 6-0, 6-0.
In their next match, COS took on Reedley and won with a score of 7-2. #2 doubles, Masen Davis and Christopher Rosales won 8-3. #2 singles Juan Ocampo (Tulare Union HS) bounced back and won 2-1 (6-1, 6-7, 6-3) after losing the tiebreaker in the second set. In #5 singles, Yufan He won in straight sets by going 6-4, 6-3.
The Giants competed hard against Fresno City, but lost 9-0. In 1 singles, Isaac Maciel Jr (Mission Oak HS) won the first set 6-3, but fell short losing the last two sets.
COS is now 5-2 overall and 3-2 in Central Valley Conference (CVC) play.
Up next, the Giants will take on Porterville College at home this Friday, March 8 at 12 pm.
