Top-Ranked LBCC Women’s Water Polo Dominates Pasadena in 24-3 Victory
The No. 1 Vikings women’s water polo team dominated Pasadena City College.
The top-ranked Long Beach City College women's water polo team dominated Pasadena City College with a commanding 24-3 victory on Wednesday afternoon. With this conference win, the Vikings improved their overall record to 11-1 and remain unbeaten at 2-0 in South Coast Conference play.
"Today's game was great," said utility player Wendy Garcia. "We all worked together as a team, and I'm proud to be part of this group for the rest of the season."
Goalkeepers Janay Robertson and Marlene Isaacson shared time in the cage, combining for nine saves and holding the Lancers to just three goals.
Attacker Leilani Sanchez led the charge with an impressive performance, scoring six goals, dishing out six assists, and recording a field block. Wendy Garcia and attacker Avery White also contributed significantly, each netting four goals.
The Vikings will return to action this weekend at the Mt. SAC Invitational.
