The No. 23 Long Beach City College women's basketball team pulled off a dramatic upset on Wednesday night, defeating No. 2 Mt. San Antonio College in a thrilling 68-66 overtime battle.
"I'm thrilled with our team's performance tonight," said Head Coach Dominic Freeman. "Throughout the season, we've faced numerous challenges and come up short against some really strong teams. However, I'm incredibly proud of how the girls have learned from those experiences. Tonight, against a top-ranked opponent, we applied those lessons and secured a well-deserved victory. It was a true team effort, and I couldn't be prouder of their resilience and determination."
